| Coos Bay
is the largest city on the Oregon coast and is the
area’s largest commercial and cultural hub with the largest deep-draft coastal
harbor between San Francisco Bay and Puget Sound. The bay area is comprised of
Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston, with a combined population of 30,000
people. The combination of the three communities offers an intriguing selection
of excellent restaurants, gourmet coffeehouses, bookstores, antique shops, gift
shops, two movie theaters, and the largest indoor mall on the coast. Coos Bay
is also home to a huge, newly renovated Wal-Mart, as well as Bi-Mart, K-Mart,
and Fred Meyer. |
